In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Arnaud Montagard, Pablo Iglesias Maurer, Marc Levoy, the Nikon Z 5, the Libraries panel and jAlbum 21.
- Arnaud Montagard took The Loneliest Road Trip and has published these images in Road Not Taken.
- Pablo Iglesias Maurer revisited the sites of Postcards of 1960s Resorts only to find abandoned ruins. His then-and-now series shows the changes.
- Jay Peters reports Marc Levoy Is Now at Adobe. Levoy, the brain behind the Google Pixel, has joined Adobe to build a universal camera app.
- In Nikon Goes Low With the New Z 5, Thom Hogan praises the company for delivering a camera to entice DX owners to get into the Z system. It's key to the company's viability, he suggests.
- Julieanne Kost resumes her 3, 2, 1, Photoshop! series with Three Reasons to Use the Libraries Panel in Photoshop:
- jAlbum 21 adds an embedded WYSIWYG HTML editor , five new User Interface themes and redesigned, modern icons. Levoy's Google team was responsible for Night Sight, Portrait Mode and HDR+.
More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look five years back. And please support our efforts...
