DNP Launches ID520 Passport/ID System Share This on LinkedIn   Tweet This   Forward This

20 August 2020

DNP has announced its IDW520 passport and ID photo solution designed to produce passport and ID photos that comply with federal regulations. The IDW520 system uses DNP's smallest and lightest passport printer tethered to a Panasonic FZ80 camera, FlashAir cCard, Touchscreen monitor and the 13 lb. ID Photo Printer.

"Offering ID photo printing is one of the most profitable services that a retail store or photo business can offer," said Shinichi Yamashita, president of DNP IAM.

"One of the hardest parts about offering passport and ID photo services is ensuring your customers walk away with a photo that meets all of the requirements. With the new IDW520, businesses have everything they need to deploy a new ID photo printing service right away, including the software that helps make adjustments to photos based on these regulations.

"On top of that, the solution is compact and user-friendly, so retail stores can easily add the new IDW520 to their already existing photo service areas."

The system supports IDs for 17 countries and includes specialty ID templates. Using a faster image processor and six built-in image checks that adjust the head, size, position, tilt, crop and more, the IDW520 helps ensure passport photos will meet the federal requirements. The software also creates a gallery of the past six photos taken, allowing for easy reprints or template changes without the need for the customer to take another photo.

The system includes a three-year warranty.
