Adobe has just posted a sneak peek of a new Sensei-powered AI Sky Replacement feature coming soon to Photoshop.

Product manager Meredith Stotzner shows how the new Sky Replacement tool on the Edit menu can add a dramatic sky to a scene "faster and easier than ever before."

The menu option presents a collection of sky presets to choose from. You can resize the preview to examine the presets more closely. And when you select one, the image is instantly updated. No selection required.

You can add your own sky shots to the collection of presets. A tool tip reveals the file name and dimensions.

While you don't have to make a selection, a selection is being made all the same. But it's done with artificial intelligence that recognizes the difference between the foreground and the sky. Masking and blending is also accomplished by the AI models.

And unlike any other sky replacement tool we've looked at, it also adjusts the color of the foreground image to harmonize it with the sky. Stotzner demonstrates the effect by dragging a large sky image with warmer and cooler areas that warm and cool a foreground deck.
