In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Web site builders, the iPhone 12 Pro Max, Big Sur advice, GO SMS Pro and Gerald Marie.

  • Ellyn Kail lists Nine Artist and Photographer Web site Builders You Should Know. "These days, you can make a professional photography or artist Web site for less than $10 per month, without any experience in coding required and launch a store and start selling your work in a matter of hours," she writes.
  • In The iPhone 12 Pro Max: Real Pro Photography, Halide's Sebastiaan de With acknowledges the "average person" won't notice the difference from the iPhone 12 but concludes, "The iPhone 12 Pro Max is a Pro photographer's iPhone. And we couldn't be more excited to start building for it."
  • Howard Oakley has some advice about Upgrading to Big Sur 11.0.1. "All three of my active Macs, including my production system, are now running Big Sur," he writes.
  • Richard Tan reports GO SMS Pro Vulnerable to Media File Theft. "This exposure includes private voice messages, video messages and photos," he writes.
  • Lucy Osborne reports More Ex-Models Accuse GÉrald Marie of Sexual Assault. "Seven more women have come forward to accuse the former model agency boss Gérald Marie of sexual misconduct, adding to mounting allegations that have drawn parallels with the disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein," she writes.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
