Photographer Kirsten Alana has launched Raising for Change, "a collective of well-traveled photographers raising money to change the world by selling prints for good causes."

"In the current environment with constant uncertainty, I was compelled to put my skills and the talents of some of my fellow photographers to good use," Alana said. "Small businesses in our industry feel a strong sense of community. There had to be a way to give back to other communities and create even more connectedness with the world as a whole."

CAUSES

The initial beneficiaries of the print sales include the Edinburg Food Project, Children in Need, the Foodbank of Southern California, Wildlife Direct, Tomorrow's Air, the Ocean Cleanup, World Central Kitchen, Shepherd's Gate, Ecology Outdoors, Glonal Giving Covid Relief Fund, HavASole and Rise Against Hunger.

Details about each of the organizations is posted on the platform's site.

IMAGES

Images will be for purchase as mobile wallpapers for $1, while fine art prints will begin at $125 and range in size depending on the preferences of the photographer. Popular sizes are 24x16 and 18x12 with white borders printed on archival paper of museum quality, suitable for framing.

Gift cards are also being offered and more products may be added in the future, including photo books and gallery wall collections. The largest portion of any profit will always go toward supported causes, Alana said.

Customers can subscribe to the platform's newsletter or follow the brand on social media to learn when a new product launches. For more information, visit Raising for Change and see the news release below.

On Giving Tuesday, Raising for Change Launches to Inspire Charity Through a Photographic Lens

LOS ANGELES -- On Giving Tuesday, Raising for Change launched to inspire people to give back, while appreciating the beauty of the world. Simply put, it is a collective of well-traveled photographers raising money to change the world by selling prints for good causes. Each purchase gives back and is a positive reminder of your contribution as it adorns your walls. More beloved photographers will continue to join the collective and consumers can grow their collection with the platform.

The founder Kirsten Alana is a long-time photographer and creator of the popular Instagram @KirstenAlana that has inspired more than 200,000 followers through her thoughtful and awe inspiring images.

"In the current environment with constant uncertainty, I was compelled to put my skills and the talents of some of my fellow photographers to good use. Small businesses in our industry feel a strong sense of community. There had to be a way to give back to other communities and create even more connectedness with the world as a whole," said the founder Kirsten Alana.

The curated images will be for purchase as mobile wallpapers for $1, while the fine art prints will begin at $125 and range in size depending on the preferences of the involved photographers. Popular sizes are 24x16 and 18x12 with white borders printed on archival paper of museum quality, suitable for framing. Gift cards are also offered and more products may be added in the future such as photo books or gallery wall collections. The donation ranges, however, the largest portion of any profit will always go toward supported causes.

The artwork makes for a great gift for Giving Tuesday, the upcoming holidays or to decorate your home year round. Make every purchase count and help make the world a better place.

Alana continues, "At Raising for Change, we are driven by the belief that we can all rise to the challenges created in 2020 and beyond, when we're thoughtful about the purchases we make. From everyday essentials to gifts. We have the ability to benefit a good cause or at least ensure we aren't doing further harm to people and the planet if we're careful about where and how we shop."

Raising for Change will start with photographic prints and will grow with the giving community that joins the platform. Customers can subscribe to the newsletter or follow the brand on social media to be made aware when a new product launches. For more information, visit http://www.raisingforchange.com.
