In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at reaction to the Chauvin verdict yesterday, the first M1 iMac, that monochrome film look, blogging your photos and a big contract.

  • Jason Rows suggests How to Get a Film Look With Digital Black and White Photography starting with camera settings, moving to metering and filtering before briefly touching on post production.
  • Dave Williams thinks photographers should be Blogging to "step up our imagery by giving it a story or an explanation." He links to three blogs dealing with three different genres as examples.
  • The Wonderful Machine negotiates a $31,675 contract for a Celebrity Shoot for an Alcohol Company involving portraits and a two-year unlimited license. The client actually paid a bit more to use one image an additional year.
