Matinee: 'Doing All Right!' Share This on LinkedIn   Tweet This   Forward This

Saturday matinees long ago let us escape from the ordinary world to the island of the Swiss Family Robinson or the mutinous decks of the Bounty. Why not, we thought, escape the usual fare here with Saturday matinees of our favorite photography films?

So we're pleased to present the 394th in our series of Saturday matinees today: Doing All Right!.

The Luxembourg Street Photography Festival held its usual Slide Night this year but online. Software developer and street photographer Viktok Wittal, a new exhibitor this year, wasn't phased by that at all, as this 4:12 video proves. It was his submission to the April 21 event.

It starts harmlessly enough with a few casual shots and moves into themes before its done (legs, verticals, etc.) but keep your eyes open because every few beats you'll see a simply hilarious shot.

No, we won't describe them. Not even one, sorry. You'll thank us later.

The show's musical track is Queen's Doing All Right. It begins:

Yesterday my life was in ruin
Now today I know what I'm doing
Gotta feeling I should be doing all right
Doing all right

Wittal knows what he's doing, all right. Now living, working and photographing in Luxembourg, Wittal is originally from Czernowitz, Ukraine. And, under the circumstances, he's doing all right.
