In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at 20 photos, TTArtisan lenses, the moon and some steampunk scans.

  • Jim Powell presents Twenty Photographs of the Week from around the world, including Cop26 in Glasgow, a migrant caravan in Mexico, refugees trapped on the border between Belarus and Poland and floods in Bangkok.
  • Kirk Tuck has posted more images taken with his inexpensive, manual-focus TTArtisan lenses. "The vast interest amongst current photographers for some of the better Chinese prime lenses is a direct result of the traditional camera makers tunnel vision/myopia about what they perceive the market asking for," he writes.
  • Meanwhile Mike Johnston shows a Random Snap: The Moon and Venus taken with his new Sony 6600 and Sigma 30mm f1.4 DN Contemporary prime lens. And while you're there, you might enjoy his previous post The Best Way to Get Smart. No guarantees.
  • In Some Scans With the GFX 100S, Jim Kasson shows the results he's getting from his steampunk scanner. It certainly works.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
