NPPA Announces Best of Photojournalism Awards Share This on LinkedIn   Tweet This   Forward This

10 March 2022

The National Press Photographers Association has announced its Best of Photojournalism awards for 2022. "The Best of Photojournalism committee and this year's panel of judges are honored to celebrate the work created by this diverse and dedicated membership," NPPA said.

Drew Angerer . First place: Still Photography, Politics.

The full announcement includes awards for video photojournalism. Here we list the awards for Still Photography and Still Picture Editing.

In introducing the award winners, NPPA said:

Our winners list celebrates the best of visual journalism and what visual journalism can do at its best. Some of this year's winners are currently on assignment on the frontlines of the Russian invasion into Ukraine, others are currently behind their lenses out in the middle of the ocean or similarly remote locales to report important stories. Many of them are embedded deeply in their local communities, reporting on stories from around the block as well as around the globe. The Best of Photojournalism committee and this year's panel of judges are honored to celebrate the work created by this diverse and dedicated membership.
