Photoshop on iPad. Background removal

"The last two years of updates have added many levels of precision and control to the tools in Photoshop," Ryan Dumlao writes. "This year, we’ve added one-tap speed to the arsenal." Highlights include:

  • Ability to select and refine small details in a portrait photo in one click
  • Quickly and accurately remove the background of any photo
  • Easily take any selection to quickly fill its contents based on its surroundings with Content-Aware Fill

For more information, see the Photoshop on the iPad blog.

The next-generation drawing and painting app "simple enough for anyone" and integrated with Photoshop has added in v3.6:

  • Ability to distort any area of an image with Liquify
  • Quickly select a colored area with Magic Wand
  • Easily navigate the keyboard and locate content on the canvas with new accessibility features

There are three tiers available including a free mode, an iPad-only mode at $9.99/year and a bundle with Photoshop on the iPad for $9.99/month or $79.99/year.
