Optic West Opens Nov. 6

B&H Photo's Optic West conference will open in Monterey, Calif., on Nov. 6. The free outdoor photography conference will feature two days of presentations, a trade expo, photo critiques and contests and a whale watching mini photo expedition.
Among the featured speakers are:
- Keynote speaker Frans Lanting will present his latest book, Bay of Life, featuring Monterey's unique wildlife and biodiversity.
- Scott Kelby will ruminate on his outdoor photography adventures.
- Epson will sponsor Vincent Versace who will discuss the importance of the photographic print and present a small gallery of prints that will be circulated through the audience.
- Colby Brown will discuss shooting macro wildlife photography.
- Flip Nicklin will talk about photographing whales.
- Kim and Zach Weston will discuss the Weston legacy.
Registration is required for Optic West. For those who can't attend Optic West at the Monterey Conference Center, live streaming options will be available, the company said.
