There is a rose bush that has grown behind the bird bath in Mom's garden for years and years and years. It blossoms with a lot of small pink roses that don't thrive very long.

Pink R. iPhone 6 Plus at f2.2, 1/1199 second and ISO 32. Processed in Adobe Camera Raw.

After editing this image, we discovered its a rosa lucieae or Memorial rose. Memory being a fleeting thing, it's probably appropriate they don't last long.

We'd just cleaned up the yard when we took this shot. For some reason the gardener never gets around to the back yard. He promises and promises and six months later, the place has become unrecognizable.

Fortunately we have the appropriate power tool to restore it to its half century old grandeur in about an hour.

When we remember to do it.
