Cyme has released Peakto with a global deletion feature that removes photos saved in different folders while working in the Peakto interface. Peakto's new feature now allows you to easily delete unwanted images regardless of their folder or file location, the company said.

Matthieu Kopp, CTO and co-founder of Cyme, said, "Peakto stands out as exceptional software, owing to its compatibility with a wide range of photo editing programs such as Lightroom, Capture One and Apple Photos.

"It offers unprecedented possibilities for managing photos across different software applications and folders, all from a single interface. The ability to delete images from the Finder within Peakto represents a new step in cross-software photo management."

Yesterday we launched 1.6.0 on an M2 running Ventura and immediately noticed the difference from our Intel installation on Monterey. This morning we installed 1.7.2 and are looking forward to testing it on the M2.

HIGHLIGHTS

New features in yesterday's 1.7.2 release include:

  • High resolution previews are now saved in the Peakto catalog for apps such as DXO PhotoLab and Luminar because they can be short lived
  • DXO Photolab watched folders are now properly scanned for new content being added
  • Move images to the Finder's Bin is now possible for images in watched folders
  • Added support for Luminar Neo when purchased in the frame of SetApp

Improvements include:

  • Improved startup time in the case of large catalogs
  • Fixed an issue with filter and search performances
  • Improved the rendering of the grid in the case of smaller cells
  • Improved used feedback when migrating or loading large catalogs

Fixes include:

  • Fixed an important performance issue when ingesting large catalogs or folders, that could lead Peakto to stay stuck for a very long time at 38-40% progress, during Instants calculation
  • Fixed an issue with the "incompled AI scores" banner that could appear even when all data was computed
  • Fixed rendering issues in the progress indicator inside the sidebar
  • Fixed several possible crash situations
  • XMP sidecars were not always parsed (if extension was in uppercase) and some keywords were not retrieved reliably
  • Properly disable some menu items when relevant
  • Fixed various smaller bugs

Peakto Launches Advanced Deletion Feature

MONTPELLIER, France -- Cyme has announced Peakto, its meta-cataloger for macOS, has introduced a new feature: the ability to delete photos saved in different folders directly from the Peakto interface.

Peakto has already revolutionized photo management by utilizing artificial intelligence to automatically categorize a photographer's entire image collection, regardless of the photo editing software or hosting folder. Peakto's new feature now allows users to easily delete unwanted images regardless of their folder or file location. This upgrade boosts photo management efficiency, freeing more time for photographers' creative projects.
