Site Note: We're Getting Slammed

The very first day of the month, we received an ominous warning from our Internet Service Provider:
"If your current usage trends continue, we estimate that your over-quota usage will result in a charge of $2,569.05 at the end of the month," it read.
After one day?
In fact, Google had been crawling the entire 4.83-GB site again, over and over, amassing 43.23-GB in just one day.
We have bandwidth quota protection enabled so we won't have to come up with thousands of dollars at the end of the month. But that turns the site off for everybody.
We reset Google's crawl rate for the site to the minimum but we're still getting hit hard, if not quite as hard.
So if you suddenly can't reach the site this month, you'll know who to blame.
