In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at the Stockton Sand Dunes, the Nikon 70-180mm f2.8, David Teran, Pier 24 Photography and open box deals.
- Deb Newton visits the Stockton Sand Dunes in New South Wales, Australia. The images are accompanied with a short description of the scene with camera settings she chose.
- Thom Hogan reviews the Nikon 70-180mm f2.8 Lens, the latest in Nikon's "Tamrikon trio of more affordable fast zoom lenses." Despite it's lack of image stabilization, he likes it.
- San Antonio photographer David Teran has launched a Kickstarter project for his Hasselblad Ballet Fine Art Book "featuring 100+ ballerinas from all over the world, quirkily photographed with a black and white film camera from 1969."
- Pier 24 Photography in San Francisco has discounted its Photography Publications as it reopens for appointments. Admission is free of charge.
- Adorama has listed hundreds of Open Box Deals on photographic equipment which feature the manufacturer's warranty.
More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look five years back. And please support our efforts...
