The screening and conversation will be followed by a book signing and reception to celebrate Julien's win of the Kraszna-Krausz 2023 Moving Image Book Award.

Joining Isaac Julien will be writer and professor at the University of Edinburgh, Celeste-Marie Bernier, collaborator on Lessons of the Hour and one of the contributors to the book and writer and professor at University of Oxford, Cora Gilroy-Ware, who co-edited the publication with Isaac Julien.

Gáldi Vinkó will give a talk on her work followed by the photographers from two other books from the 2023 long list and short list respectively: Celine Marchbank speaking about A Stranger in My Mother's Kitchen and Jon Henry on Stranger Fruit.

The event will be moderated by Hannah Watson, who runs Trolley Books, publisher of Sorry I Gave Birth I Disappeared But Now I'm Back,.
