Saturday matinees long ago let us escape from the ordinary world to the island of the Swiss Family Robinson or the mutinous decks of the Bounty. Why not, we thought, escape the usual fare here with Saturday matinees of our favorite photography films?
So we're pleased to present the 523rd in our series of Saturday matinees today: Feeding Time: A Tale from Jack in the Box.
In this 7:28 Halloween special from Jack in the Box, the bullies of this world get what's coming to them. If only it took eight minutes in real life.
The action takes place on Halloween night as a couple of youngsters decide to revisit the house on the street giving whole candy bars.
They never get to execute their plan because three adolescents bully them into giving up all their candy.
But wherever there's a bully, there's a bigger bully, as these wise guys find out. And no, Jack won't save them.
The video was created by Hollywood veterans Asha Michelle Williams, Kara Lee Corthron, Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan. We're showing it a bit early because they've included a hidden code to be discovered.
"The first 1,000 people to find our hidden code can redeem it for two free Monster Tacos or Angry Monster Tacos (with purchase) only on the Jack app," the company says.
Although, after watching this, we'd be wary of any free tacos this Halloween.
