In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Rick Wenner, leading flagship cameras compared, imitation, dialing in a camera, Leica M film cameras and women in street photography.

  • Suzanne Sease features Wrongfully Incarcerated, the personal portraiture project of Rick Wenner. "These stories must be told and I am committed to this work," he says.
  • Feroz Khan provides A Quick Comparison of the Leading Flagship Full-Frame Cameras. "From a full-frame perspective, the Nikon Z9, Canon R3 and Sony a1 are arguably the best cameras you can buy today," he begins. "We won't pick sides over whether any of these flagships are outright winners over the other. This comparison aims to show you the key strengths of each of these cameras in relation to the others."
  • In Should You Imitate? Thom Hogan suggests a healthy way to do it with a nod to his own mentor, Galen Rowell.
  • Kirk Tuck gives some advice about Dialing in a Camera. And a lens. "Cameras all have their own color and tonal personalities and getting familiar with them makes a difference in how easy or hard the files from them are to correct," he writes.
  • In Deathless Leica M Film Cameras Rebound, Mike Johnston comments on a recent interview published in French on a French website with Leica's Dr. Andreas Kaufmann. "Leica is now selling almost half as many film M cameras as digital M cameras," he writes.
  • A Reddit poster in her thirties who does street photography wonders What Are Some Challenges You Face as a Women Photographer?. "Is it possible to be successful in this field as an older woman?"

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
