In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at AP's Week in Pictures, the Natural Landscape Photography Awards, 40 famous fashion photos, an Osaka traffic jam and Chinese lenses.

  • The Associated Press presents its Week in Pictures curated by AP photo editor Eloy Martin in Spain. Caimans crowd the banks of the Bento Gomes River amid droughts in Brazil. People protest against the approval of a mining contract in Panama. President Joe Biden gives a speech on Veterans Day in Arlington, Va. And climate activist Greta Thunberg dances after a protest march through Amsterdam.
  • Winners of the Natural Landscape Photography Awards have been announced. Rules and Permitted Digital Adjustments demonstrate the contest's golden rule: "The integrity of the subject should be maintained."
  • Jess Cartner-Morley introduces 40 Outrageous Photos That Changed Fashion captioned by Chloe Mac Donnell. "A great fashion photograph is not just about a great outfit," Cartner-Morley writes. "It captures a moment in history."
  • An Osaka Traffic Jam inspired Koichi Miyase to stand between his hotel room drapes and the window to capture the scene in HDR mode on his iPhone 7 Plus.
  • Freoz Khan looks at selected options from Third-Party Chinese Lens Manufacturers. "The future is bright for third party Chinese lens manufacturers and I hope they keep churning out newer and better lenses as the years go along," he writes.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
