In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at the Nutcracker, People's Park, Andy Anderson, the Artralab 14mm f2.8, a Lightroom workflow, Harvey Stearn and the Fujifilm GFX 100 II.

  • Lee Smith goes Behind the Scenes at Northern Ballet's Nutcracker for the final dress rehearsal.
  • Ximena Natera presents A Year of Photos From People's Park which include the 54th anniversary of the Berkeley site, tree people, a cake made in honor of park co-founder Michael Delacour who died in March and protesters. "I wanted to explore some of the deep bonds and relationships people developed around the park and why, for many, the idea of a Berkeley without People’s Park is inconceivable," she writes.
  • Suzanne Sease features A Personal Fashion Project in Cuba, the personal project of Andy Anderson. "Not commissioned by a client, this personal journey was to expand his portfolio and test his ability to art direct a fashion shoot," she writes.
  • Chris Gampat shoots The Nikon Zf With Manual Focus Lenses. Namely an Artralab 14mm f2.8. Despite several serious limitations, "holding the camera with the lenses attached brings a sense of joy that I haven't experienced from most SLR-style cameras in a while," he writes.
  • Jason Row discusses How to Streamline Your Lightroom Workflow, primarily by using its "powerful rating tools to isolate, edit and export my images for each type of genre."
  • Cityscapes: Ideas for the Urban Bound Photographer is the first of Harvey Stearn's six part series on selecting locations and material for fine art photography. The series will include articles on Architecture and Skylines, Coastal and River Cities, Local Color, Major Annual Events, Parks, Gardens & Public Places and Urban Wildlife.
  • Zach Sutton shares his First Impressions of the Fujifilm GFX 100 II.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
