In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at Spain's Royal Tapestry Factory, Lahaina, water damaged prints Terry White's favorite gadgets and upgrading from Mohave to Apple Silicon.
- Manu Fernandez photographs Spain's Royal Tapestry Factory, which was opened in 1721. "Some of the original wooden machines are still in use," writes Irene Yagüe.
- Lahaina Reopens After Hawaii's Deadly Wildfire by Audrey McAvoy features photographs by Lindsey Wasson as the town "has reopened to local people and business owners holding day passes."
- A Reddit poster asks about Separating Water Damaged Photos. Chemically-developed prints, actually. And gets some good advice to save for a rainy day.
- Terry White lists My Top 23 Gadgets From 2023 including quite a few photography-related items.
- In Making the Leap From Mojave to Apple Silicon, Howard Oakley writes, "Apple silicon Macs are now attracting those who haven't changed their Mac for quite a few years." He covers seven changes they'll have to deal with.
