We've just archived Volume 13, Number 2 of Photo Corners on the Archive page with 17 Features, 10 commented News stories, 24 Editor's Notes (which included 160 items of interest), one review and one site note for a total of 53 stories.

We published 116 images in 22 of those stories and six stories had gear specification tables. We celebrated one holiday and observed one passing of note.

Didn't at all mind having an extra day to archive February.

Didn't at all mind having an extra day to archive February.

READERSHIP, which reminds us why we're doing this, was down in unique sites and visits. That's not entirely unexpected in as short a month as February, even in a leap year. And especially considering the dearth of news.

There was news, of course, but 10 news stories for the whole month is paltry. It's a new low.

On the other hand, we were glad to finish the Beamo review, which was among the very most read pieces in the month. This year should show an improvement in the number of reviews we publish.

There are other reasons to visit Photo Corners every day. We often mention Around The Horn, our front page of curated photography links but we always forget to mention one of its chief benefits.

And that is, courtesy of the marvelous San Francisco Public Library, we have access to the New York Times so we are able to provide gift links to that publication's articles on photography. We've already given you access to nine articles this year after providing 47 last year.

WE'VE BEEN HAPPY to see our productivity ramp up after a difficult year. We're still dealing with the aftermath of that year and will for a few more months, but we've been able to return to our usual routines with some energy once again.

We always say publishing Photo Corners is sustaining for us. And we do indeed hope it's the same for you.
