In this recurring column, we highlight a few items we've run across that don't merit a full story of their own but are interesting enough to bring to your attention. This time we look at an intriguing image, Corsica and Sardinia, testing a lens and resizing an image.

  • In Trump on Trial, Michael Shaw and wCara Finnegan discuss an intriguing image captured by Associated Press photographer Mary Altaffer for Chatting the Pictures:

  • Jessie Alcala recounts a few Adventures on the Islands of Corsica and Sardinia. "Our trip began in the city of Ajaccio, where we drove to the Neolithic site of Filitosa to see the prehistoric standing stones," Alcala begins the story of the 10-day trip.
  • Kirk Tuck explains how he goes about Testing a Lens, in this case a Carl Zeiss 50mm f2.0 Planar ZM. "For me the focusing accuracy of a lens and the sharpness and contrast are the most important parameters of a lens," he writes, recommending some practical subjects to test for those things.
  • Michael Bizzaco and Kevin Parrish show How to Resize an Image on Mac, Windows and a Chromebook.

More to come! Meanwhile, here's a look back. And please support our efforts...
