This is the 13th Thanksgiving we've celebrated with you at Photo Corners. As always, we're grateful for your support and roll up our sleeves every day to show it.

The years have a way of remaking the holidays. You are a guest, then a host, then a guest again. One way or another.
The image we've chosen for this year was taken 12 years ago at the house of the same friends who are hosting us this year. We'll sneak Joyce out of the skilled nursing facility for a few hours in the afternoon, racing to get her back before the sun sets and we have to drive home in the dark. Our persistent double vision still makes that difficult.
But this image of glasses not yet filled sparkling in the autumn afternoon light, the chairs around the table not yet occupied, hints at the festive gathering ahead. The glasses will be filled, the seats occupied, stories told (again) and laughter will rattle the walls.
The older you get, though, the harder it becomes to look ahead.
But as we look at the place settings on the table, we are inclined to count each of them as one of our blessings. Blessings we'll enjoy as long as we can.
