This time we look at Colombia quake, ndigenous American photographers, daguerrotypes of Black Americans, Hogan's top question and street photography books.
- The Associated Press reports a Deadly 7.4-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Colombia. The clock tower of the Cathedral of Manizales fell against the main roof.
- Sarah Gilbert reviews In Light and Shadow, a new book of over 250 images traces the work of indigenous American photographers.
- Kate Mothes previews Remember Me: Picturing African Americans in Early Photography, an exhibit of dozens of images taken of and by Black Americans, showcasing a wide variety of lived experiences in one place. "Fashion, family and social status are on full display in a range of gelatin silver prints, daguerrotypes, tintypes and ambrotypes, some of which are [physically] colorized," she writes.
- Thom Hogan says The Number One Question I'm Getting is "when Nikon will release their next camera (or lens)."
- Nilofer Khan briefly reviews Five Street Photography Books from Jens Krauer, Jamel Shabazz, Barbara Ramos, Steve Madden and Joel Meyerowitz.
