One of the small pleasures we enjoy each year is the release of Beaujolais Nouveau in November. It's the first wine made from this year's French harvest.

This year we nearly missed it.

But taking the turn on the last aisle at Trader Joe's as we did our weekly shopping, we saw a small display of the young red wine and grabbed one.

Saved.

Once in a while, you have to thank yourself. Just for being there. For sticking through thick and thin. For never losing your mind (completely). For trying, if nothing else.

There is no end to occasion for guilt or sorrow or feeling inadequate. Imposter Syndrome should be listed at the top of every resume. We are all aware of our own shortcomings, even if the catalog of them continues to surprise us.

But just now and then and before it is too late, uncork the first wine of the harvest, which knows nothing about you, and toast what will be.

Because whatever will be, will be.
